EUROPEAN CONFERENCES
REGIONAL MEETING OF THE INTERNATIONAL LUTHERAN CONFERENCE (ILC)
From 1-3 June, happened in Ermesinde, Maia, OPorto, the ILC's regional meeting, which the IELP is member since 2007. Presidents and bishops from Lutheran Churches form Germany, France, Denmark, Belgium, England and Portugal. Presidents and bishops from Spain, Russia, Latvia and Czech Republic participated as guest churches.
The Conference focused his reflections on pastoral care issues of divorce, homosexuality.
EUROPEAN LUTHERAN CONFERENCE (ELC)
The ELC met in Ermesinde, OPorto, from 3 to 6 June. Besides the presidents and bishops, laypeople from the churches were also present. The ELC brings together the Lutheran Churches in Europe affiliated to the International Lutheran Council.
The conference met under the theme "The mission
dimension of the congregation with a local neighbourhood focus". Several studies have reflected different approaches to the mission of the Local Congregation. The IELP was responsible to bring a reflection about the youth participation in the congregation´s mission.
The final document will soon be available on this web site, and wil be shared with the chruches and local congregations.
The Conference was concluded with a fellowshio lunch at "Emanuel" Parisch - Maia.
